Finding off-market deals from people you could trust was a mess
The off-market and below-market property world has always run on introductions, WhatsApp groups, private mailing lists and word of mouth. For investors, that means being bombarded with deals that don't match your criteria, added to endless groups, and left to work out which sourcers are genuine and which deals are worth a second look.
Worse, too many investors get burned. Co-founder Nick Houghton lost £20,000 of his own savings to a deal sourcer early in his property journey, and over the years has seen countless investors pay reservation fees only for deals to fall apart, sourcers to disappear, or the opportunity to be nowhere near what was promised.
Genuine, compliant sourcers face the other side of the same problem. They have good deals, but no efficient way to reach serious, vetted, committed buyers at scale.
So we built Sourcery: a marketplace that brings structure, transparency and trust to the off-market space. It is the platform Nick Houghton and Tom Power wish existed when they were sourcing deals themselves.
